While toilet seats are dry and cleaned regularly, a used towel is damp, warm, and fibrous—the perfect incubator for bacterial colonies.
You might be re-infecting your clean face. When you dry off with a used towel, you transfer dead skin cells, oils, and bacteria (Propionibacterium acnes) back into your freshly cleaned pores.
